Awareness Lecture on Creating Safe and Inclusive Workspaces

Bombay College of Pharmacy – Autonomous organized an Awareness Lecture on “Creating Safe and Inclusive Workspaces: Awareness on Gender Sensitization, Discrimination & Sexual Harassment” on 28th November 2025, under the aegis of the IQAC of IPA–MSB BCP, in association with the NSS and DLLE Units. The programme was conducted at Room Nos. 015–016.

The session was delivered by Dr. Rashmi M. Oza, Chair Professor – Chief Justice Chagla Chair, Department of Law, and former Head, Department of Law and Dean, Interdisciplinary Studies, University of Mumbai. Dr. Oza shared valuable insights on gender sensitization, workplace ethics, prevention of discrimination, and legal perspectives related to sexual harassment, emphasizing the importance of creating safe, respectful, and inclusive work environments.

The lecture highlighted awareness of rights, responsibilities, and institutional mechanisms to address workplace concerns, while encouraging mutual respect and equality among all stakeholders. The programme was attended by teaching and non-teaching staff members, who actively participated in the session and benefited from the informative and thought-provoking discussion.

The awareness programme contributed significantly towards promoting a culture of inclusivity, dignity, and professionalism within the institution.
