Bombay College of Pharmacy (BCP) is proud to congratulate Mr. Avinash Barchha, Ph.D. Scholar, on winning First Prize in Oral Presentation (Ph.D. Category) at 2nd MET-I-CON 2026, organized by MET Institute of Pharmacy, Nashik.
His award-winning presentation titled “Design, Development and Evaluation of Voriconazole Pessaries for Local Treatment of Vaginal Candidiasis,” highlighted a significant part of his Ph.D. research work.
The research is part of project entitled, “Design, Development and Evaluation of Antifungal Suppository Formulations with Emphasis on Bioavailability Enhancement, Mucormycosis and Women Health” sanctioned under Prime Minister’s Fellowship for Doctoral Research managed by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and funded by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, in collaboration with industry partner Bliss GVS Pharma Ltd., where Mr. Avinash Barchha was the applicant, Prof Krishnapriya Mohanraj and Prof. Mangal Nagarsenker are guides and Mr. Anadarup Datta is the industry mentor.
This achievement would not have been possible without the constant guidance, scientific insight, and encouragement of research guides Prof. Krishnapriya Mohanraj, and Prof. Mangal Nagarsenker. BCP also acknowledges the valuable industry mentorship provided by Mr. Anadarup Datta and Dr. Preeti Dali from Bliss GVS Pharma Ltd., which contributed significantly to the successful execution of the research.
